Privacy Policy

1. Scope and contact

This policy explains how Style Twin (“Style Twin,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, stores, retains, and deletes information when you use the Style Twin mobile application and glowtwn.com.

2. Information we collect and how

• Account information: name, email address, password hash, country, session and security information, collected when you register or sign in.
• Profile information: selected gender presentation, style interests, height, weight, and body type, provided directly by you.
• Face photos and other images: photos you deliberately take or select through the system camera or photo picker, inspiration images you select, and AI-generated results.
• AI request information: the selected style, category, optional inspiration image or URL, and the photo needed to fulfill your request.
• Subscription and usage information: product, entitlement, renewal status, generation allowance, and transaction identifiers received from RevenueCat and Apple or Google. We do not receive complete payment-card details.
• Technical information: limited server logs, request times, error details, IP-derived security information, and device or app information needed for operation, security, and abuse prevention.

3. Face Data and AI Processing

What face data we collect

Style Twin collects the pixels in a photo containing your visible face only when you choose or take that photo. The app does not collect Apple Face ID data, TrueDepth camera data, face meshes, facial landmarks, facial geometry, biometric templates, or data used to identify or authenticate you. Style Twin does not perform face recognition.

How face photos are used

We use a selected face photo only to maintain the private profile photo associated with your account and to create the hairstyle, hair-color, makeup, beard, glasses, complete-look, outfit, or comparison result that you request. We do not use face photos for advertising, tracking, surveillance, identity recognition, eligibility decisions, or sale.

Explicit permission

Before Style Twin uploads, stores, or transfers a selected face photo for AI processing, the app presents a separate consent screen naming Google Gemini, explaining the data sent, purpose, storage, retention, and deletion choices, and requires an affirmative agreement. Declining means the photo is not uploaded and AI photo features remain unavailable. Permission may be withdrawn in Profile › Privacy.

Third-party AI disclosure

When you request an AI photo feature, Style Twin transmits the selected photo, the styling instruction, and any inspiration image you supplied through our secured server to Google LLC’s Gemini API. Google acts as our AI processing service provider. We require service providers that receive personal data to provide the same or equivalent privacy and security protections described in this policy and to process the data only to provide the contracted service.

We use Gemini API paid services and do not opt in to sharing prompts, images, or responses for Google product improvement or model training. Google states that paid-service prompts and responses are not used to improve its products. Google may retain limited prompts and responses for abuse monitoring and security under the Gemini API terms. We do not use Gemini File API storage, Google Search grounding, explicit context caching, or developer datasets for face-photo requests.

4. Storage, retention, and deletion

Deletion controls

You can delete the profile photo from Profile › Face Photos, delete individual generated images from Generation History, and permanently delete your account from Profile. Revoking AI photo consent from Profile › Privacy immediately prevents future Gemini transfers and deletes the stored profile photo and related styling attributes. Account deletion removes stored user-media files and direct account identifiers. Backups, security records, or records legally required to be retained may persist for a limited period before secure deletion or anonymization.

5. Service providers and disclosures

• Google LLC (Gemini API): processes photos, instructions, inspiration images, and generated responses to provide requested AI styling.
• RevenueCat: manages subscription entitlements and purchase status.
• Apple and Google: process App Store or Google Play purchases and provide transaction and entitlement information.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers: process encrypted traffic and store application data on our behalf.

We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect users and the service, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal data or face photos and do not share them with advertising networks or data brokers.

6. Security and your choices

We use HTTPS in transit, authenticated access to private media, password hashing, access controls, and deletion tools. No system is completely secure, but we limit access and data use to what is needed to operate Style Twin.

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or withdrawal of consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already completed before withdrawal.

7. Children and policy changes

Style Twin is not directed to children under 13. If local law requires a higher age or parental consent, those requirements apply. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal data without appropriate authorization.

We may update this policy as the app or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated in the app or on this page, and we will request new consent before using face photos for a materially different purpose.
